• Is there a way to make the system fault-tolerant?

I cannot think of one but using an alternative DNS infraestructure, which is not backwards compatible with HTTP.

• How can we find the closest server?

This is hard. Even if you used KB/S instead of ping latency, this values are not constant and depend on multiple factors. I think it could be configured by hand in some way, but it wouldn't be practical.

I think Akamai uses the DNS infrastructure to achieve this goal.

Yeah, Jhair: I was optimizing the wiki->html function and I temporarily broke things. Sorry for that and thanks for the report!

I don't know how to edit the links at the left. One of them is broken.

All files should be lowercased when uploading to bachue.com. I don't know it this would break many links :(
