This year, again, I had the opportunity of being invited by some friends to participate in the ICFP, due to some family health issues I wasn't able to make it. I would like to participate the next time and the following things need to happen in order for me to be productive:
- Leave Johanita and Sam (my family) to be on vacations
- Print the problem statement
- Don't think of anything else
- Maybe stay with some other member of the team during the weekend
- Practice a lot in a functional language before, such as Scheme or Haskell (I really like the second one, but I have to read some comparisions)
- Focus on solving problems that I may not specially like but that will be useful for the team.
