Update:

Due to good remarks I received I must say that I also believe it is good to think of OSs in languages other than C. I just don't care much about them until we get them. I guess that universities/companies/people will search for them and it is a very good thing. The language and the logic in this entry are a little flawed. Let's leave the original entry as I wrote it anyway. It is very good to have friends that will point you in the right direction when you get things wrong :-)

Original entry.

I found a silly video named Write in C, a Let it be Cover. A guy sings and plays the piano.

I love the C language. Specially for low level stuff. I really cannot believe that there are people out there writing SS in Java. I guess they are in a University (correct me if I am wrong please).

I think C is the language that you should be using
when talking to hardware in the kernel, for the main
libraries in user-space and for some other very cool
libraries. They are the foundations on what other
languages that allow you to express what you need
are based on.

This might change in the future but right know I think it is a good idea.

IMHO hating C is as silly as as hating neurons because brains are more sophisticated.
